Building Formula: A close look at the icon

Formula is a great product and is receiving a lot of great feedbacks and since the beginning of this year, I was planning to make a full redesign to it, for two reasons: 1) I can and I love to code 2) it’s growing fast and the sometimes it fails within the design. So, this […]

Meet Nomi-PC: My new machine

These last few weeks have been very intense for me and one of the things that happened in those last few weeks was the long awaited message from the Post Office: “Object left for delivery”. Ahhh that message delights. My computer was coming. So, I used my old notebook for a while, and it’s pretty […]

Hello WordPress, how are you?

If you follow me for more than one year you probably know that I’m a Windows developer and also, a aspnet developer. I start on the web business with aspnet (after the Blogger). So it was natural for me to write my own CMS (like WordPress) on aspnet. And that was what I made. You […]

Going beyond translating a website

So a client had made one little challenge to me, put his website in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Easy peace. For sure make this is pretty simple, and I had been doing that for a couple of year, websites with more than one language: I have some experience with that, so why did I doubt […]

Livecoding.tv: let’s stream everything!

Last year I discovered a website and started to love it. livecoding.tv. What is that? Well, if you look to the video content that is coming to youtube, you are going to discovery that now, more than ever, it is streaming contents. Games, talks, events, everything (and by everything you know what I’m talking about)! But why not the devs? The guys who made it possible, who build every stream platform has to be able to stream it too. And that is what livecoding is about.

It started with a simple way to stream your work and chat with the people that is watching it and you figure out that they start to help you, sending feedback. And in the last months they introduced the opportunity for paid channels, for hiring devs and many other features.

But only this week I start to stream. And I’m in love with it. The way I worked before as on my own, opening every site I could imagine (Facebook and Twitter on top of everything), and moving to others projects. Streaming helps me to be more time in front of a PC and coding. Helps me getting some energy and be more productive. So, my tip for you today is: if you are working on a open source project or if you have authorization for doing so, do it. You will love it like I do.

And, by the way, their twitter send information about what’s currently streaming. They have a really helpful and attentive support.

And, no, they didn’t paid me anything for this post. 🙂
